CopyPro, Inc. proudly announces that Pete Lipford, Area Service Manager, is celebrating his landmark 25th anniversary with the company.
Pete joined CopyPro in 2001 as a Shop Technician, responsible for setting up and repairing equipment. After a year in the shop, he transitioned into the field as a Field Technician, building deep expertise in equipment maintenance and client support. In his current role as Area Service Manager, Pete oversees the Service Department and manages field service technicians who maintain and service client equipment throughout the region.
“Pete is the backbone of our service team. For 25 years, his technical expertise, leadership, and unwavering dedication have set the gold standard for customer support at CopyPro. We’re deeply grateful for his two and a half decades of service and proud to celebrate this milestone with him,” stated Richie Creech, Director of Service.
Pete holds a degree in Electronics Engineering from Cape Fear Community College and brought five years of prior industry experience at Danka Business Systems when he joined CopyPro 25 years ago. Reflecting on his start in the field, Pete credits a gentle nudge from home for launching his 30-year career in office technology:
“I owe my mom for getting me into this industry 30 years ago. Fresh out of college, I woke up to find my resume sealed in an envelope addressed to Danka with a note from my mom telling me to mail it—I think she was tired of me lounging around! Halfway down the driveway, I almost turned back to throw it away, but thought, ‘What do I have to lose?’ Thirty years later, I’m still in the industry and loving my work at CopyPro. The love I have for everyone at CopyPro cannot be written down in words, but I appreciate everything everyone has done for my family and me over the last 25 years.”
Originally from Burgaw, North Carolina, Pete has called New Bern home for the past 25 years. Outside of work, he enjoys woodworking, home renovations, fishing, and spending quality time with his family. He has been married for 25 years and is the proud father of three children and grandfather to four grandchildren.
